Legacie completes two major developments in Liverpool City Centre

North West Property News – Legacie completes two major residential developments in Liverpool City Centre as part of the wider regeneration of one of the last remaining significant plots close to Liverpool One, the retail heart of Liverpool City Centre and with views over the Albert Dock, the cities longstanding cultural hub.

The new residential developments, namely Millers Place and One Park Lane are close to the former Merseyside Police HQ at Canning Place, which is also subject to its own regeneration.

Millers Place Liverpool - Legacie Developments

Millers Place, the first tower to be completed as part of the wider Heaps Mill regeneration project, is centred around the restoration of the grade II-listed Rice Mill. This iconic development includes a mix of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. When complete, The Mill, which will become the centrepiece of the wider Heaps Mill regeneration, is a blending of Liverpool’s industrial past with contemporary urban living.

The other development, One Park Lane is a contemporary 16 storey tower with a curved glass elevation. One Park Lane offers a mix of elegant Manhattan, 1, 2, and 3-bed apartments and the building includes a gym, 24/7 concierge and cycle store.

One Park Lane Liverpool - Falconer Chester Hall

Falconer Chester Hall’s design for One Park Lane provided for a £130m refurbishment and redevelopment of Liverpool dockland site, which includes the listed Heap’s Rice Mill complex, one of the earliest and last surviving warehouse complexes in the area.

The development has 800 apartments and 12,000 sq ft of leisure and retail units, ranged around a new public space.

Mike Rider, construction director at Legacie, said: “The successful delivery of Millers Place and One Park Lane is testament to the dedication of our project teams, as well as our partners. Both developments were complex due to their respective locations and restricted site access, yet they represent a key milestone in the Heaps Mill regeneration. Once fully developed, this will be one of Liverpool’s most ambitious and transformative urban regeneration projects.”

Martyn Haymes, associate director at Falconer Chester Hall, added: “Working with Legacie on the first phase of the Heaps Mill masterplan has been a thoroughly rewarding experience. The attention to detail in the design reflects the high standards set by the client, delivering a building of real value with a high specification of finish.

“Situated adjacent to the Grade-II listed Mill, we carefully considered the materiality and detailing of the exterior to ensure a modern design that sympathetically complements the heritage of the surrounding architecture. This development marks a key milestone in the Heaps Mill regeneration, and we look forward to seeing the continued progress of the wider masterplan in the coming years.”
