Kbb News – Studio5 a new Schuller retailer opens in Congleton this month, which will be the second German kitchen retailer to open in the town this year, following a Kutchenhaus franchise that also opened in the town back in May.
The new business is a culmination over of five decades worth of kitchen design experience from the Studio5 team having previously worked with the German kitchen brands of Schuller, Hacker, Nobilia and Poggenpohl.
Stuido5 director Lee had the following to say, “Myself and my creative partners have worked on several hundred German kitchen projects for clients over the last 20 years and our respective careers were spent building up the businesses we all worked for and now seemed like the perfect time for three industry professionals to combine their talents and collective experience and deliver a kitchen design business that once again put the customer front and centre”.
t is no surprise that the Kbb industry has seen a lot of turmoil since the 2008 credit crunch and the time it took to come back from that. Whilst the Kbb industry had started to see better times from 2012 to 2019, the industry once again took a huge hit in 2020. A hit the industry is still reeling from and not helped by the post-covid supply chain issues and most recently, high inflation and high interest rates which decimated everything from the mortgage and housing sectors to home improvements, especially larger projects such as a new kitchen.
Asked how Studio5 differ from Kutchenhaus, Studio5 director Lee said the following, “Kutchenhaus are part of Nobilia and there is no denying the benefits to Kutchenhaus franchisees in being part of a large corporate entity and Nobilia is a popular brand.”
He added, “Studio5 differ in that the management team have over five decades experience of living, breathing and designing kitchens and that passion and that experience gives us something different to what a Kutchenhaus franchise can offer. Whilst the price and quality points maybe broadly similar for the Schuller Collection and Nobilia, Schuller have the designer brand in next125 and we feel that the more comprehensive product offering allows us to cater to a broader range of clients.”
Studio5 Kitchens
The new Schuller retailer opens for business on Friday 30th August.
In addition to being a retailer of Schuller kitchens and next125, Studio5 will also have a dedicated floor for tiling and worktops, plus a dedicated floor for interior blinds and bedrooms, offering a more comprehensive home improvement service.
