Property News – The plans for the latest X1 Developments Trafford Waters project, in this landmark scheme, have been approved by Trafford Council, marking a significant step forward in the ongoing £1bn Trafford Waters masterplan.
The approved plans form part of the first wave of homes being brought to fruition as part of the Trafford Waters development, a scheme that will deliver up to 3,000 new homes, more than 100,000 sq ft of amenity space, a new primary school and 20 acres of open space.
The as yet unnamed X1 Developments Trafford Waters development is set to includes a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and marks yet another partnership with Peel, following previous successful collaborations on projects such as X1 Manchester Waters on Pomona Island and X1 MediaCity in Manchester and projects in Liverpool Waters, with X1 Developments working on the landmark Patagonia Place in the wider Liverpool Waters site.
Nick Sweeney of X1 Developments said: “Having successfully worked with Peel Waters on other waterside developments and X1’s track record for delivery, our proposed high-quality residential offering will complement the other homes being developed on site within the emerging Trafford Waters neighbourhood.
“We have spent a lot of time considerately designing our development at Trafford Waters to offer a range of different amenity provisions which will hopefully encourage long-term lettings and add variety for residents. We hope that this will in turn make this a more sustainable location to stay as residents can ‘move up’ units or downsize as they develop in their lives/careers but choose to stay in such a desirable location.”
